Remember how amazing stuff like Star Fox and SWAT Kats were when you were young? An epic sci-fi world full of technology, giant flying machines, intense battles and more, experienced through the eyes of the coolest cartoon animal characters you'd ever seen. But what if it wasn't a cartoon? What if it was serious, and grounded, and real?

I've answered that question by writing a FEATURE-LENGTH MOVIE SCREENPLAY.

Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by this stuff, but it wasn't until much later in my life that loose ideas reached critical mass for a story and world of my own. I began developing this project as an original work around summer 2021, started writing the screenplay itself in early 2022, and finished a very rough first draft that fall. It's taken a significant amount of time past that to refine my skills as a writer and figure out all the other issues to produce something I'm finally happy with.

My early attempts to work with with concept artists and begin visual development have been frustrating. I learned the hard way that a picture truly is worth a thousand words, and despite the talent of others it's impossible for them to see things the way I do. There's simply no substitute for being able to perfectly capture what I see in my head, which means I must now develop a skill that, frankly, I had hoped wouldn't be necessary. I still intend to work with other artists to explore ideas and promote this project, but all serious visual development will be my own work.

There's a long journey still ahead, but I'm looking forward to sharing more of this world and story with you. Stay tuned.
